The Directorate General of Health Education has announced the MATS IHT Admission Circular 2024 (DGME). The public-private Institute of Health Technology (IHT) is accepting applications for admission to its four-year Diploma in Medical Technology program. Applications are being accepted from several faculties.
Simultaneously, applications are being accepted by the Medical Assistant Training School (MATS) for admission to the Diploma in Medical Assistant program for the 2024–2025 academic year. Students who are interested can apply via the website dgme.teletalk.com.bd.

MATS IHT Admission Eligibility
You must meet certain qualifications for admission to MATS IHT. These terms and conditions are given below:
- Candidate must be a permanent resident of Bangladesh by birth.
- Admission test for public and private IHT and MATS will be held simultaneously through common question papers.
- 2020 to 2024 Passed in SSC/Equivalent Science Department with minimum GPA of 2.5 (Points) and must have Biology subject.
- Candidates who have passed O-Level and from abroad, need to collect Equivalence Certificate ID and ID Code with a pay order of 2000/- to the Director, Medical Education. Form cannot be filled without it. Departmental candidates should collect ID Code from Director, Medical Education beforehand.
How to Apply for MATS IHT Admission?
Many people want to know how to apply according to MATS IHT Admission Circular. Here is a detailed process for your convenience. Each step will help you to:
- Open the internet browser and navigate to the dgme.teletalk.com.bd website.
- The IHT/MATS Admission button should be clicked.
- Subsequently, select the Application Form section.
- Choose the Diploma Course in Medical Assistant Training School or the Diploma Course in Institute of Health Technology curriculum now.
- Proceed to the Next Action.
- Choose the National Curriculum (SSC/Equivalent) or the GCE (O Level/Equivalent) option found in the Curriculum Selection section on the next page.
- After selecting the Next option, enter the necessary data in the form.
- Send in the application.
How to Pay MATS IHT Application Fee?
You must use a Teletalk prepaid phone to pay a certain amount toward the admission exam fee after submitting your online application. The MATS IHT Admission Notice contains instructions on how to pay the fee. In accordance with the guidelines on the applicant’s copy, the application fee may also be paid. Two SMSs in total can be used to pay the application fee.
Go to the Teletalk Prepaid Mobile Phone’s message option, type IHTM, the User ID, and a space, then send the SMS to 16222.
Example: Send to 16222 with IHTM <space> FRLGCT. The User ID that was received by filling out the form is FRLGCT here.
In exchange, an SMS permission form with the candidate’s name, a password, and instructions to deduct 700 taka for the admission test will be delivered. Provide your approval by sending the following SMS to 16222.
When to Download MATS IHT Admit Card?
Attendance at the admission test is mandatory for all applicants. To take the entrance test, you must obtain your IHT MATS Admit Card 2024. The download link for the MATS IHT Admit Card 2024 is available from July 21 to July 25, 2024. The date of the admission exam is July 26, 2024. You can download the admission card by visiting the dgme.teletalk.com.bd website. Students will receive information on downloading their admission card by text message on their mobile device.
How to Download MATS IHT Admit Card?
Applicants who apply by SMS can then download their IHT MATS Admit Card. Before the deadline, candidates must download their admission card. By entering the user ID and password that you were sent in the confirmation mail, you can download the admit card. In order to download the admit card, the following steps must be taken:
- Check out the website at dgme.teletalk.com.bd.
- Click on the MATS/IHT Admission link.
- To log in, enter your password and user ID.
- Press the button that says “Submit.”
- Get the PDF file and print it.
MATS IHT Admission Test
To participate in the admission exam, candidates will need to complete a 100 marks multiple choice question written test covering Bangla, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge (10 marks) covering Bangladeshi history and the Liberation War. The exam is scheduled to last for one hour. Merit lists are created by multiplying admission test results by 20 times the GPA from SSC or equivalent exams. There won’t be a live oral argument.
Based on the scores from the SSC and admission test, the MATS IHT Admission Result 2024 will be made public. The waiting list will be made public in addition to the merit list. Merit-based faculty selection will also be used to determine the waiting list. The candidates’ merit rank will determine the order of the waiting list. Admission will be filled from the waiting list if the chosen applicant is not admitted within the allotted period. There will be a simultaneous release of the IHT MATS Merit list and waiting list.
